Classifica CPU desktop - FEBBRAIO 2010
La recente immissione sul mercato dei processori Intel Lynnfield fa segnare un record di vendita dei nuovi chip. L'Intel Core i5-750 è una delle Cpu più richieste insieme a Core i7-860. Anche AMD entra in scena con due chip entry level, l'Atlhon II X3 425 e 435. I processori tri-core operano rispettivamente a 2,7 e 2,9 GHz, con una cache Level 2 pari a 1.536 Kb, ma sono sprovvisti di cache Level 3. Il prezzo è molto competitivo: 60 e 70 Euro ed è per questo che in questa fascia di prestazioni hanno una posizione molto competitiva. Un'altra coppia di processori Amd che si fa notare è munita di quattro core, si tratta dell'Atlhon II X4 600e e 605e. Anche se costano circa il doppio dei tre core, consumano la metà.
La tabella elenca le 32 CPU più potenti in commercio, che partono da una fascia medio-alta e arrivano fino ad un'utenza da workstation professionale. I giocatori appassionati devono rivolgere la propria attenzione alle prime dieci CPU della seguente classifica:
